May is going to be an exciting month for our workshops!

Why’s that you ask?

Because it’s the first month that our workshops will be available to all students, regardless of which course you’re enrolled in!

While each workshop will be tied to a particular course, there’s always some cross-over and value in the material covered, regardless of your focus.

First up is on May 17th: Creating a Podcasting Site with Full Site Editing

Full Site Editing is a new experience that allows you the freedom to build every aspect of your WordPress site, from the header all the way down to the footer, using the power of blocks within the Site Editor feature.

But how can we use the Site Editor to create a great website experience for our podcast listeners?

In this session, we’ll dive into podcast-specific blocks, and take a look around the Site Editor tools to put it all together.

Next up is on May 24th: Choosing a theme

A website theme ties into the overall look and feel of your website and should set a tone that compliments your blogging niche and you as the author.

Themes come in all different shapes and sizes and in this workshop we’re going to explore the different types of themes, what to look for in a theme, and how to choose the best one for you.

These workshops will be recorded and the replays will be available to watch if you miss them. But if you can attend live, it’s a great chance to ask us questions!

We hope to see you there!

30 years ago I was teaching people how to play piano, now I teach people how to play WordPress! I'm a techie who speaks non-techie and my passion is helping beginners. I write YA/Fantasy novels, play the piano, and love to read. I also love animals, which is a good thing considering I have 3 cats, a rabbit and a dog.
